Impressive use of the lighting, Ellie.
my first instinct is that i don't know whether to pray or stay away. i love that this image asks that question.

You're right Ellie: I wonder how you achieved that?
I like floodlit buildings, always rather haunting.
There is a touch of the 3D, reminds me of those plastic things you used to get in cornflakes and when you waggled them about the picture changed

I think the 3d effect is caused by the recession of the cooler colour. A realist painter's trick to give paintings depth.
nice nice, it's the dhadows showing the stonework, but then you know that.

A fine capture Ellie but if you did away with the border is would merge completely with the background and perhaps be even more effective.

Great shot - love the lighting and how the top seems to almost fade into the blackness!

If this is Christ's Church then whose are all the others...
I find this mysterious in an intersting way...I think it's because of the total blackness around the church....
