Policeman's parrot

This little chap was sitting on a perch outside a Police Station in a town we visited when on holiday, he was really friendly and more than happy to pose for a couple of photographs.

Lovely parrot. nice shot. Im wondering what you did with the colours.
EJWilkins: Thanks Elsie, I'm glad you like it. smile This is an African Grey parrot, it's the natural colour.
great detail on the feathers! you say the colors are natural... must be a very pretty bird.
EJWilkins: Thanks Barry, it was a gorgeous bird, and very friendly.
African Grey, so cute - did it talk to you?
EJWilkins: Thanks Christophe, no it didn't say anything at all just 'hinted' it might like some food from its tray

A lovely shot of an African Grey. The most intelligent of all parrots. Have one for 39 years.
EJWilkins: Lucky you, I've always wanted a parrot and think this is my favourite.
I live with an african grey. They're very cute, but living in a small flat with one is quite an intense experience at times.
EJWilkins: Wow, you're lucky too. smile I imagine they can be quite demanding at times because they're so clever.
Very sharp details smile
EJWilkins: Thanks Zebigleb, I also liked the way he(?) was looking directly at the camera.

Great !
Nice colours and details.
Is it the mascot of the policemen of this station ?
EJWilkins: Thanks Roland, I don't know if this is a mascot. I will try to find out. I was really surprised to see the parrot sitting there outside, on the street.
