photoblog image Pena Palace, Sintra

Pena Palace, Sintra

Another shot of Pena Palace in Portugal.

This one was taken from the path/drive way on the way up to the Palace, which is perched on top of the Serra de Sintra. I think it captures the grandeur of the place and the interesting architectural features, which are set at different angles to each other.

hmmm, the colours maybe a bit dull for me but the angle is great,
the framing is nice though the trees interfere too much according to me.
great eye though
EJWilkins: Thanks Sidak smile

Cool capture Ellie, the castle looks like it a toy. Has it always been painted in these colours?
EJWilkins: Hi Etomi, Thanks. I don't know about the colours but I would think they have always been the same. I can't imagine them painting it like this just for tourists
very nice colorful capture.
EJWilkins: Thanks Dotun smile
Something of a w. Disney castle here !!! Colourful shot.
EJWilkins: *grin* maybe it was somewhere similar to this that gave Disney his ideas ...

Hi Ellie, this is one I know... I remember going here and thinking the castle was due for a paint job. I see nothing has changed in this regard. Nice capture. Did you get any good ones of the Moors castle across the hill?
EJWilkins: Hi Daniel, yes, it's still due for a major paint job and yes, I have one of two from the Moorish Castle as well smile

EJWilkins: Pleased to hear it Zebigleb, thanks for your comment.
