what a happy lookin little family Ellie, i like this alot, how could anyone pick and fry them??
fungi is weird/wonderful life form isnt it?
EJWilkins: Thanks Rabby, I wouldn't pick them in any case. I think fungi are marvellous really, many of them filling in the 'nice plant' gap between late summer and the the frosts.
hey ellie,

really well spotted. i really like the varrying shapes and sizes of the various mushrooms. the dof really allows the mushrooms to stand out. nice capture.
EJWilkins: Thanks Nicole, I was really pleased with the depth of field in this shot.

Talk about eye level! I can just see you lying on the ground while taking this. Which means, I guess, that the fairies were sitting on your shoulder, enjoying the view smile What a fun shot.
EJWilkins: I cheated Ginnie, these were growing on a tree trunk, so were above ground level. ;-)

Now that is a good mushroom picture! And I am glad that I am not the only person who takes them smile
EJWilkins: Thanks Martin, no you aren't the only one who photographs these things. I've got loads more, have you?
you are getting me hungry, Ellie. Nice shot.
EJWilkins: smile Thanks Dotun
Yes, it's time to chase mushrooms... That's a nice one Ellie.
EJWilkins: Thank you Florence smile
so you are still chasing those elusive little creatures!! Very nice pic Ellie, great work. regards, Neil.
EJWilkins: Yep, still chasing them, and it looks as if I might have been lucky because Colin says he sees a wing in this shot wink

Ellie, I'm so worried you'll be getting your clothes all dirty lying down for these shots!

You've caught them perfectly again - a nice group well composed with attention concentrated where it needs to be by the shallow depth of field.

Moss and soggy rotten wood - lovely.
EJWilkins: Don't worry too much Colin, they were on a fallen tree, so above ground level. ;-) I'm really pleased you like this shot.

... and I think that's a faerie wing sitting up behind the centre ones!
EJWilkins: ... and I think you might be right .. grin

Lovely shot. You had to bend low I think - used macro?
EJWilkins: Hi Louis, and thanks. They were growing on a fallen tree, so I cheated a bit!
Macro? Yes, I used the 'flower' (macro) setting on the camera, it doesn't have any separate lenses ... one day I'll get a DSLR!

Lovely picuture Ellie, I know it's been a good year for fungi but this is particularly lovely shot.
EJWilkins: Glad you like it. You're right, it's been a fabulous year for them Eileen, I've got loads and loads of pictures, some good and some rubbish. Hopefully I'll only share the really decent ones. smile
