Some second hand harness for sale at the Beaulieu Road Pony Sales in October.
It was sunny, so some of the brass is slightly too bright, but it had probably been polished for the sale. I really liked the contrasting colours and textures of the old leather.

Very well done Ellie. I just like all your equestrian related photos (you will see tomorrow on my blog why) and this one is well executed. The brass is not too bright in my opinion and yes it was polished - i think.
EJWilkins: Thanks Louis, that's a 'carrot' to make sure I log in tomorrow I'll have to move some more pony-related pictures up the publishing list. I'm really pleased you like them, and this one in particular because it's another that's way outside my normal 'comfort zone'.
the brass really stands out in the pic...nice lighting and angle...good contrast between the brass and the rest of the saddle...
did you get rid of the stuff behind the harness or was that dark naturally...
lovely shot on the whole..
EJWilkins: Hi there Vyder. Thanks for dropping by. I hope you get the problem with your Blog sorted out really quickly, it's annoying not being able to add your own comments.
The picture is exactly as it was shot. I would have liked a little more detail to the top and left but the vendor was holding it still to stop it swinging in the breeze and his hand was in the way. The deep shadows are natural.
