I like the pillar in the shot, adds more me thinks. But the rusty iron thing on the bottom right is kinda distracting? Liking the colours a lot.

I really do wonder what they were smoking when they built this. It must have been pretty potent, but apparently it didn't mess with their attention to detail. I wonder what the almost regular detail on the frame around the door is all about. Nice capture as always!

Nice door!! I always like the way you frame your snaps. smile
I looks like snake... very nice colours too which remind me the colours of a theatre. The red curtain.

When I saw the relief work in the thumbnail I just knew we are going to Portugal again. Also thought they were snakes in the thumbnail. A good photo and don't go taking the railing out of the castle.

I like the vibrant colors, Ellie. And the thing is, pillars and rails are part of the reality of this place, so why remove them! For me, this shot stands on its own just like it is. smile
Hiya Ellie. Debates about pillars and railings, sod that, they are there and you can do nothing about it. How far does one goe to isolate certain parts of the picture? Pillar or not (which does add to the framing), this is still a beautiful photo. Great work Ellie. Kindest regards, Neil.

I agree with Neil. It's a picture not a painting, and the details are very well captured
