Tall ship on a trailer ...

Not 'exactly' what I was trying to achieve, but I thought it looked almost as if this tall ship was on the trailer.

You cut the top off the masts, Ellie! Cardinal sin, that....

It's a totally funny shot though, and a wonderful idea. Like I've said before, always lots of humour in your photos.
EJWilkins: Yep, guilty as charged!

But, at least I kept the wheel complete. I couldn't go back any further because there were things in the way and the camera wouldn't pull back any further either. ... Is that a good enough excuse? grin

Now you know why it's a 'Saturday' picture.

Ah, so that's what it is. We put up those Saturday pics and hope no one important will see them. LOL! smile

Seriously, some pics really are for humor or a point or something that has nothing whatsoever to do with if you followed all the rules. You got the ship IN the truck AND kept the wheel in. You can't get much better than this, Ms. Ellie! smile
EJWilkins: I thought Saturday could be a bit more um ... relaxed and a time for a bit of fun. smile Not that I've got many that are even vaguely amusing, but it's a thought.
Thanks Ginnie, nobody's noticed the front end of a vehicle on the right so it looks as if I got away with that too wink
Hi Ellie... Original picture... I like it.
EJWilkins: That's good Roland, I'm pleased you like it smile
A great one indeed, love it because unusual : Bravo !
EJWilkins: I wouldn't mind betting there was somebody else there who saw the same chance picture and who included the whole mast. I thought it was fun, glad you do too smile

I like the way you have composed the shot Ellie, very unusual and amusing. I admit that my first reaction was the same as Andrew's, "she cut the top of the masts off!!", but reading your explanation, it's acceptable tongue Well done indeed. Have a super weekend. Warmest eishes, Neil.
EJWilkins: Thanks Neil, I hope you have a great weekend too. smile

Amused capture with an appropriate titlewink
EJWilkins: Gracias Jose, yo están contento tú gozó de la broma en el cuadro.
A funny one !! The boat crossed by the truck... !!! You were there at the right time and at the right place Ellie !! smile
EJWilkins: Thanks Florence, yes, I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time smile
When the picture was loading in all I saw were the mast and I thought ah she's been to Cowes, the the truck appeared and I fell off of my chair laughing. I don't care about the top of the mast missing or the other car coming in from the right, this is a great opportunist shot and I wish it was mine !! smile
EJWilkins: They don't often get them this big in Cowes Johnny, not that I've ever been there! I'm pleased it made you smile, but I hope both you and your chair are uninjured wink

You got far enough with putting the ship on a trailer. Fortunately you did not succeed completely - poor people who would have to unload it then. And where would you stick the top mast if it is on the truck? smile

Nice pic Ellie - good to see it on a Monday - maybe one should pitch the laugh stuff for Mondays i.s.o. Saturdays.
