African Grey

I shared a picture of this little chap last October,- here -. He was sitting on a perch outside a Police Station in a town we visited in Portugal. He was very friendly and inquisitive.

Gorgeous shot!
Likeable vigilant small parrot!
EJWilkins: Un loro muy vigilante y contento (G) wink
Very cute bird, Ellie! Love the details...can almost count his feathers!

Aaaah! The "Norwegian Blue"! Was he alive...or had someone nailed his feet to the perch to keep him upright?
Excellent portrait, with lots of detail and sharp as a tack.
EJWilkins: He was very much alive! wink

... and I too remember the Norwegian Blue sketch.
Wow, what a beautiful bird. I've never seen one like this. The photo is so sharp!
He probably wanted to be a cop when he grew up grin Great shot Ellie.
Very crisp. He looks like he is up to no good smile I like the close crop.
EJWilkins: Absolutely, he was quite full of mischief.
Wow splendid portrait Ellie
superbe portrait!

wowww. que colores, que mirada, vaya foto, aunque me inspira un poco de miedo, como te de un picotazo te deja.... ejejje
EJWilkins: Oh yes, he has a mischievous look, he took some seed from my fingers ... he did not eat my fingers wink
Oh sí, él tiene una mirada dañosa, él tomó un poco de semilla de mis dedos... que él no comió mis dedos. (G)

very nice shot, beautiful bird!
Great details on its feathers, nice colors Ellie.
A lovely portrait ...
Well I guess everyone likes this ...... not me ! no I'm joking smile They left out one very important point, the birds smiling at you. smile
EJWilkins: They used to get people to 'watch the birdie' ... in this case the birdie was watching the camera wink

I think this chap has a funny bone in him and is ready to shock us all with something he might say! Don't you wonder what might come out of his mouth?! smile

As always, Ellie, this is pin sharp and just plain lovely!
EJWilkins: Ha! If he'd said anything I doubt I would have understood because he'd have spoken Portuguese. wink

Ah, in best Monty Python style - definately a Norwegian Blue wink
EJWilkins: ... but not a deceased one wink
Beautiful - the white background behind the head matches the white area around the eye - very good
I so love patterns. I paint patterns daily and this photo is inspirational.
Great close up! You captured his expression very well. smile

I always wanted a bird like this....smile
great capture Ellie.
you've almost completed an animal encyclopedia!!
Petra
EJWilkins: Oh wouldn't that be a wonderful thing to do! Thanks for the compliment.

I've always wanted a parrot too, but we've got a cat and I don't think they mix particularly well. wink
Ellie I applaud you on the most amazing clarity and colour. I just can't get over the detail in the feathers. I think you should have called this "Here's Lookin' at you, kid" the way he has his beady eye fixed firmly on you.

The Dimage still makes great posts. Great detail on the grey.
EJWilkins: It does, doesn't it, especially close ups. Thanks Louis.
