A ah! Well spotted. Well captured. My kind of thing
EJWilkins: Thanks, glad you like it
A message in a bottle. Is very pretty this shot. The reflection and texture is very nice. I like.

Or perhaps a hidden message? Nice framing and the details are great smile
EJWilkins: There might have been Iain, thanks smile
This is a really good photo Ellie.
EJWilkins: Thanks smile
Cool.. There may be a message in the bottle..
EJWilkins: There might have been, I couldn't get close enough to find out
Merci beaucoup. smile
I hate that !!!!
And I love the shot smile
EJWilkins: I hate it too Zeb, and thanks smile
What a shame !!
EJWilkins: Yep, a shame, people don't seem to care.

EJWilkins: Might have been ... wink

As Zeb said, I hate it! What's wrong with these people!!!

But a fantastic composition, Ellie. What a commentary!
EJWilkins: I don't know Ginnie, it's bizarre. Where this was is a mile or so from the nearest houses and a long way along the sea wall, so 'they' had to have taken the bottle with them, why couldn't they take the empty back home? The area is visited because it's nice to look at, then people leave their rubbish, and complain about it!

Hopefully this is not a comment on the state of the UK beer industry! Very clever to get such an appealing photo out of trash floating around somewhere!
EJWilkins: No, the UK beer industry is doing very nicely, although there is a lot of imported stuff that calls itself beer. wink Thanks Martin
It's a sad that people think it's OK to throw their litter for someone else to deal with. It's thoroughly selfish, sometimes dangerous and always ugly.

Your composition here is spot on, Ellie.
EJWilkins: If you know the area of the Salterns you'll know they had to carry the bottle some distance before throwing it away. I can't understand why people to this, care so little for places they visit ... and only visit because they're nice places to look at. sad
I wish more people are aware of the problems littering can cause. Not only is it bad for the environment, it can cause health problems for humans and animals. Don't get me started on this subject! Good picture, Ellie!
EJWilkins: I know exactly how you feel Kay. I tried to get the bottle out of the water after I'd taken the picture, but it was too far away, and the water too deep and silty ... so I had to leave it there.

Catchy picture Ellie - now I want to go have a party too. Don't worry, there is no sea nearby to dump the bottles.
EJWilkins: I'm intrigued to know how you can tell this is salt water

Excellent doco-picture, Ellie.
Is there some connection between this image, and your visitors? [grin]
EJWilkins: Thanks Ray, and no connection except that queued archive pictures for a while, although we did have a wee celebration wink

Close to 80 people beat me to suggest the bottle contains a message. So ... here's what I have to say. For all those wondering, I'm here to confirm that there is no message in the bottle. I repeat - no message. Nothing.

Great shot though smile
