Oh my, I'd certainly love to see these European cathedrals but since I can't, thank you for bringing them to me.
EJWilkins: Why thank you Mary. smile

The symmtry is perfect, Ellie. The detail is glorious.

This brings to mind a song we often sang years ago, "Majesty, worship his majesty."
EJWilkins: It is a glorious building Ginnie, very majestic indeed. smile

Lovely shot, Ellie. Looks well worth a visit...
EJWilkins: Not only the cathedral Dave, the whole town is wonderful. With a bit of luck you'll get to see some more. wink

This cathedral looks so nice and spiritual. Fantastic artwork, Ellie. You've framed it very well.
EJWilkins: it is, and also very friendly too.
Brilliant shot, ellie!

Nice image, good architectural detail as well.
EJWilkins: Thanks Les, the architecture was quite something to see
This is so curvaceous! I love all the flowing lines all of which seem to frame perfectly Christ Jesus. And such rich hues too, unlike our cold grey church interiors.
EJWilkins: I often wonder what the interiors of our churches would have been like had it not been for the Parliamentarians who whitewashed all the images. Some of the pictures and frescoes that have been uncovered are wonderful, I like to think they will originally have been like this, to give worshipers something to look at and feel the power.

I really like your church images because they oftenly look nearly like paintings. Wonderful!
EJWilkins: I've never thought that until now, but it does look a bit like a painting. Thanks Julia smile
A very impressive cathedral and a nice shot! Cheers, Dave
EJWilkins: It is an impressive cathedral David, if you ever get the chance to go there (Evora) you'll see some wonderful things and not just the cathedral
I like the symmetry, the lovely brown/red ceiling - the light from the windows is very bright - and it looks impressive the way you have captured so many details with that light coming in smile
EJWilkins: Pure luck Aksel, and I think a good camera. It was brilliant sunshine outside so you're right, the light was streaming in through the windows
tu as choisis un très bon angle. superbe photo
EJWilkins: Merci beaucoup Nadine. smile
Very well captured Ellie. Love the angle at which you took the shot.
EJWilkins: Thanks Deji. I think the camera was on the floor, it was the only place I could be sure it wouldn't wobble. wink

√Čvora is a most amazing city. and you have captured a wonderful piece of it.
EJWilkins: Thank you. Coming from somebody who knows the Cathedral it's quite a compliment. smile
It's a place I think we will have to try to return to, we had a wonderful day there but didn't manage to see everything. I took quite a lot of pictures, some of them will appear here.
Nice work with the light, Ellie!
The composition and exposure is wonderful
Amazing place captured beautifully Ellie.
WOW, that a beautiful cathedral, I cannot wait to go there - I am flying tomorrow to Lisbon so I hope to see all places from your pictures! Thanks again for inspiration to go there, your pics are great!
It's really a beautiful result - Composition first and also the very clever management of lights and colors : Thumbs up !!

i really like the colors in this one. it doesn't seem like a very well-lit subject, so you did pretty well!
