photoblog image One cobweb or two?

One cobweb or two?

I feel a bit like this window at the moment, full of cobwebs!

I'm amazed how much I've forgotten in the time I've been without both a computer and a camera, and it's taking a bit of time to get my act together again.

I spotted this, umm, interesting window quite high up in a decaying building when we were on holiday in the summer. The blue is a reflection of the glorious summer sky.

Welcome back Ellie. I'm glad to be the first one to say so. Nice decay you've captured here! smile
EJWilkins: Thanks a million Steve.
When I saw this window I knew it had to be captured, in case they ever decide to renovate or even spring clean .. because then it would be lost for ever.

Welcome back indeed, my friend! Have I ever missed you and your wonderful photos. YOU may feel rusty but I'm sure you will get in the groove as quickly as you got out (to no fault of your own).

I love that we are drawn to flaking paint...especially if it's not our own!
EJWilkins: Aww, thanks Ginnie.
Got to admit now that I won't be around again until tomorrow (Monday)evening, although I've got a couple of pictures lined up that I'd saved from last year. SO I'm not really brushing off any of the rust, although I'm going to have to get myself sorted out pretty quickly.
oeee oeee oeeee! Welcome back, Ellie. Ohh! Steve has advanced to me, but almost, almost, I have been first! In addition your photo to beginning is spectacular! smile
EJWilkins: Very nearly Jose, thank you so much for being so patient smile

Welcome back and hi. Great colors in this shot and that pealing paint is great.
EJWilkins: Thanks Kathryn, it's good to be back. All I've got to do now is find some decent pictures, and get out and take one or two new ones!

Lovely shot, Ellie, really like this - the cobweds, the peeling paint and the contrasting colours of frame & reflection. Good shot.
EJWilkins: Hi, and thanks it was one of those things that I couldn't resist pointing the camera at, although the family thought I was barmy!
Welcome back Ellie!
Where have you been all this time?
Nice cobwebs ;-)
EJWilkins: Hi Franks.
My computer died in July, just before we went on holiday and it's taken a while to get a new one. I've also been lucky in getting a lot of the data recovered from the old hard drive.
The cobwebs will disappear - it's like riding a bicycle.
EJWilkins: I haven't ridden my bike for years either, and now the tyres are flat ... but only at the bottom! wink

EJWilkins: Thank you Tracy, I think the weather might help blow the cobwebs away too, it's cool and breezy here just now!

Welcome back, Ellie, we have missed you. Hope you are fully online again soon. The cobwebs will disappear soon,
. Love the picture, by the way, especially the cobwebs contrasted against the vivid blue reflection of the Portuguese sky. .
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Thanks Sheila, have just had a lovely weekend away at a family celebration, and now feel almost ready to slot back into things again.

Starkly beautiful image, Ellie.
Flaking, deteriorating old thing! That reminds me...I must get to gym regularly, and take my vitamins.
EJWilkins: Errrm, I might need to join you in the gym and also stock up on various supplementary pills and potions! wink

Great contrasts in this picture, in a photographic sense and other.

Cobwebs you can wisk away, flaking paint and rotting wood require severe treatment. A magnificent blue sky to touch everything up.

So ray can try, he can try...

I have said so before this and can easily repeat that I am happy you are back on the blog.
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Good to see you too Louis smile
You know, each time I see this picture I realise that our house isn't 'that bad' *chuckle*

Lovely shot Ellie (didn't know you knew where I lived). Good to have you back on the scene. Happy photography - you certainly haven't lost your touch for a good picture. David.
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Thanks David, it's good to be back. Hopefully there'll only be short and planned breaks from now on. ... All I've got to do is find the right pictures now!

You can just feel the peeling paint and the decay, well seen Ellie.
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Thanks Les, it certainly was eye-catching, and it looks as if the photo shows it as I'd hoped.
cool. she cometh back! hope youve been gathering imagery like never before...
nice colours/textures/subject/contrast etc
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Thanks Rob. smile Lovely to hear from you, thanks for the welcome back.
Haven't taken a huge number of pics since the summer, so seriously 'need to get out', all I need is some time to do it.

Now maybe the next time you'll listen to me , Everybody missed ya !!!!!!!!!!! smile
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Aww, you're a sweetie JG. You'll have me blushing if you're not careful! Thanks for the welcome home smile
As Mal said, we need you around to complete the jigsaw- great to have you around again. I'm afraid Britain in November may not be the most thrilling time of year to be getting "back on your bike" though! wink Love the textures and tones here- I could play with that for hours!
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) No, you're right, November, especially this rather chilly November, seems to have been a bad time to choose to need to get outside with my camera, but never mind. It's good to be back, bear with me while I find the time to get back into my stride. Thank you so much for the welcome. smile

It is good to see you back, Ellie!
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Thanks Martin smile
Mal says it for me too - not about the cat though!

A huge welcome back and it's a starter for 10!
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Thanks Jose, it's good to be back ... with or without the cat! wink
Welcome back, Ellie! You must have been lucky with that blue sky: I don't remember seeing any this Summer! smile
EJWilkins: (13 Nov) Thanks Dave. No, I think you're right, summer here in the UK was something of a non-event. We were lucky, and while people here were under flood water we were in sunny Portugal. wink
So nice to see you're back, Ellie. I reserved a seat at my buddies table just for you! Very nice pic--love the colors...
