photoblog image Have they landed?

Have they landed?

The things you see when you least expect them!

Taken I think somewhere about ~ here ~ on the way to Obidos in the summer. I'm sure he knew why he was wearing something that made him look like an alien ... but it certainly made us chuckle.

LOL ... that was exactly what I thought before I read what you wrote!
EJWilkins: and it's a picture I nearly didn't get, because we were travelling faster than I'd thought!

Very odd! And it looks uncomfortable.
EJWilkins: It looks incredibly uncomfortable, not a thing to wear on a hot day

You have to wonder what chemicals he is spraying with that machine that he needs such a filter.
Perhaps the name on the fan cover...can it be "Toxic", but slightly mis-spelled to confuse us?
Fine capture, Ellie, and I especially like the old city wall in the background.
EJWilkins: Obidos is a lovely old town, walls all the way round it and houses packed into almost all the space.
I have no idea if, or what, he had been spraying, not much I'd think, they tend not to in Portugal for some reason or other.
Nice picture Ellie. I like the contrast between the Alien space vessel and the castle wall in the background
EJWilkins: yes, indeed ... was he just a tourist? wink

LOL Ellie, who knows what he was spraying, hope you look still the same when you look into the mirror, I do like the city wall in the back, very well captured!!
I don't think I'd want to be downwind of whatever he was spraying! Well seen Ellie.
Excellent, Ellie! I love the humour, and the photograph is really good. Love the crellated walls in the background. (:o)
EJWilkins: We walked all round the walls, it gave a lovely view of the area too.
Interesting picture. Not at all what it first seems, and slightly sinister in its way. He looks like some kind of cyborg.

In many ways an everyday shot in a touristic setting. You go to these places, like with that old wall and find people are still going about their daily work. Only what's happening here doesn't have an everyday look.
If they have landed and tryibg to take over by tractor, the take-over will be slow smile
Great fun shot.
EJWilkins: *chuckle* yes, it'd indeed be a very slow takeover, especially if they try to get into the UK with the current price of fuel!
You've made me chuckle too!
