photoblog image Shall we go?

Shall we go?

On the left the foal finds the right place for food, well, almost.

In the middle it looks as if the mare is asking the foal if it's "Ready to go"

The third picture shows them before they started off to cross the road, where there were other ponies, and where they would be a few hundred yards away from where the foal was born.

These pictures were taken almost immediately after the second one I shared yesterday, only about 20 minutes after the foal first managed to stand up.

Wonderful! Again...

If I had been fortunate enough to get these shots, Ellie, I might have kept the left-most shot out of this montage...the other 2 appear like frames in a video, and convey a nice sense of action.

Then I could have used the spare image tomorrow.
EJWilkins: Duh! Yes, it would have been better if I'd uploaded the almost square picture instead, but I got muddled up. No matter, I'll add that one some time, to the beginning of my pictures. I'll try to remember to tell you when I do.

Every time I open your post I am in 'awe' these are unique moments, love it and am anxious about the pictures of tomorrow.
EJWilkins: Kind of you to say so Astrid, I promise you there are no nasty or sad images of this mare and her little foal smile

Great story told in photos
EJWilkins: Thanks smile
So now the foal is off to meet the relatives, very nicely put together Ellie.
EJWilkins: Yep, that's right. I keep remembering how I felt about an hour after having children, and it wasn't anything like as perky as this Mum appears to be!

As three shots together it works a treat. Nice narrative too.
