Can I eat it?

The mare took the foal across the road, people helped to make sure they did so safely by stopping traffic, then the pair strolled over to some gorse bushes. The foal, naturally inquisitive, decided to take a look. They do eat gorse, the young shoots are apparently very tasty.

This picture was taken about 30 minutes after the foal managed to stand for the first time and, as you can see, the foal still hasn't dried off after being born.

I like this a lot, Ellie.
Legs designed for out-running wolves are evident here.

Just priceless, Ellie. He's all legs!
One can only wonder how they fit inside the mother. There must be som serious foal-origami in the womb.
Great series of photos.
I love the soft colours of this picture Ellie. This has been such a delightful series
Lovely shot Ellie, I am sure you were absolutely captivated by the events unfolding before you. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Fitted this scene with the colt very well. A suggestionÂ… with Ps tries " to give luz" more; to the colt to separate it of the bottom, I believe that of this form the image would be best!

A real nice feel good shot. Well spotted.
Very nice picture. Personally, I would have boosted the contrast a bit. Framing is very good.
