At the Allotment - January

A bit of rust

This old trowel looks as if it's lost its wooden handle, and it's rather a dull sort of rust which is a bit of a pity, but I still thought it looked rather nice in amongst the old strawberry plants in the background
.....

This series of pictures were taken at local Allotments, which is land owned by the council that can be rented for growing plants (fruit/vegetables/flowers) for use in the home. The land is separated into measured strips, rather like the mediaeval field systems.

I do not have an allotment. I am grateful for the tenants who didn't mind me taking a few pictures.

It would make a great image for a gardening magazine, Ellie. Have you thought of that?
Nice simple photgraph, Ellie and I think the focus on the spade blade makes it.

Your making the mundane very interesting Ellie, great work
Lovely simple picture Ellie
I can see that you work in the orchard must be hard. I hope that you pick up a good harvest!

Simple but very effective as a picture. I also believe it would go well with a gardening article.
A real "down to earth" shot, life as it is, nothing arty. Well done on a great success.
Simply beautiful Ellie. I enjoy your series!

I like this one very much. It is an excellent find. Reminds me that soon it will be time to clean up the gardens.
Why is it most people, usually of an older generation, always had a toll of some sort without a handle. Great picture once again Ellie, lots of atmosphere.
They would need their wellies today, Ellie! (:o)
