Cascais

"Linha da Mare" by Carlos Nogueira

Seen on the promenade in Cascais, Portugal, September 2008. This is an art "installation".

It was interesting to see the reflections, and also this photographic crew who were, I think, preparing something for television.
.....

Half term etc, so I'm taking a break for a couple of weeks. I have uploaded some "holiday" pictures, but may not be around very often to comment on other people's pictures.

I like the merging shadows of the two folks...much more intimate than their alter egos.

I wonder did they put the the reflective plates there
I like the way the woman is looking at her shadow! Fine shot Ellie.
She seems to be very interested in his bottom! smile
I like her gaze - just where mine would be.
An amusing picture Ellie.
Amazing what they call art, these days.

Installation art sometimes, no, often baffles me. I think it is hard to see it's merits here but maybe in person it is more interesting. However, this photo is an interesting study of this phenomena of installation art. Sometimes the reaction to the "art" is more interesting than the art itself.

I think Ian made an interesting observation...she does seem to be checking out his behind. smile

This is very exciting Ellie: what are they up to?
I can't imagine what Mary meanstongue
I hope Mary isn't being sexist in any way with her remark. I imagine he got a good reflection of himself.

This wasn't for the shoes, hey? Although she is looking at them.

I think that wall can provide wonderful abstracts.
