A bud already, Ellie?????
EJWilkins: Yes, there are always buds on twigs but the ones on Beech are usually more visible because they're nicely pointed. smile

You thinking beech and I am thinking beach. Changes of season smile

Great picture. My learning is that autumn macro's have excellent backgrounds.
EJWilkins: Huh! Trust you to think of warm things when it's getting quite chilly here!
You are doing some wonderful things with those new lenses Ellie.
EJWilkins: I've loads to learn, and it's great fun trying too. THanks Sheila

Oh wonder-ful - the find, your words, and the Monet- colours in the background! I could get drunk by colours here and outside!
EJWilkins: You're so right Philine, the autumn colours are so wonderfully rich that to have them all year round would be intoxicating

EJWilkins: smile THanks
I love the colours, shapes, composition and control of DoF. I like it altogether!
EJWilkins: Thank you very much Ian, working out where to crop was harder than I'd expected. Glad i got it right
You have made a bud look very interesting Ellie lovely colours.
EJWilkins: They're amazingly interesting when you look closely Linda, and very clever too because they can protect the new leaves from the coldest of weather
The bud and the dying leaf, the old and the soon to come, a good duet Ellie.
EJWilkins: Hadn't quite thought of it so poetically Brian. Thank you smile

Beautiful bokeh and colors in these last images. I have learned that autumn can be as beautiful as spring.
Have a nice weekend!
EJWilkins: Autumn certainly can be as beautiful as Spring, especially if the sun's shining smile
Ahh the green shoots ... oops er umm brown shoots of recovery.

richard
EJWilkins: Brown's shoots? tongue
Wonderful colour Ellie, a delight!
EJWilkins: The colours come through wonderfully, Beech trees are almost the best - at least I think so!
A clever one Elie..Another variation of the old and new.
