Exceptionally warm and friendly palette, Ellie.
EJWilkins: It's almost deliciously warm isn't it, hadn't thought of it that way before

The Beech was just made for Autumn Ellie, a grand image indeed.
EJWilkins: You're absolutely right Les, the leaves always seem to be glorious colours
A fine, fiery image...
EJWilkins: Thanks Larry

I love the signature in it...almost hidden.
This is a fabulous image, I have been watching SC for a week again, now I had to comment and let you know I really like this one.
Great colours and wonderful DOF.
EJWilkins: My signature is in all my pictures, usually hidden away as much as possible because sometimes it can get in the way.
Delighted to hear things are going well for you, and you're back online. smile

Yes, Les Auld is right "The Beech was just made for Autumn", and the Autumn was just made for the photographer Ellie! A beautiful picture!
EJWilkins: Absolutely spot on, and Spring too.
You have succeeded in focusing on the very tip, and the leaf is also in perfect focus.
I think I would have cropped a lot of the other leaves, just leaving the bits round the stem - they overpower the picture and detract from the main focus.
EJWilkins: They are a bit overpowering, and I almost did crop in really close but in the end decided to leave the bud "hidden". Thanks for the idea Sheila, I like getting comments like this, it's useful smile

I see that you are enjoying your new lens Ellie smile I understand totally I love macro photography.
EJWilkins: I'm really enjoying using it Frida
And you succeeded Ellie. What a lovely image!
EJWilkins: Yes, I just about got there - once!
I love beech trees in autumn the most. The colour is amazing.
EJWilkins: I do too, the colours are always so amazing
I reckon you succeeded Ellie, very nice image.
EJWilkins: I think I did Brian, in the end

I hope that the high winds this morning have not wrecked this. I do like the colours.
EJWilkins: Luckily most Beech hedges keep their leaves right through the winter, so I might get another chance to take some more later
Yes Ellie...you got there!. Nice one.
EJWilkins: I think I did, in the end, after loads and loads of totally useless shots.
I think you are really enjoying your new lens. This is another lovely image. (:o)
EJWilkins: Absolutely, it's brilliant!
The 'Darling bud of November'.

Your attempts are paying off, Ellie!
EJWilkins: Lots and lots of attempts Ginnie, with a few "keepers"
Interesting looking 'knot' Ellie.
EJWilkins: Umm, a bit confused by the word "knot" because I don't recognise it in relation to a bud sad

Well this is a very good attempt indeed Ellie
EJWilkins: It's one of loads and loads I took in our garden, so mebbe I cheated a bit.
