Autumn

Hydrangea

I think this is a "Lacecap" Hydrangea, but I'm not entirely sure.

I thought the colours match the season so beautifully.

This is an exquisite image, Ellie.

I especially like that you left in that dead bit, bottom right.

If I was a snail, I would hang this on the wall of my house...eerrr...shell.

Super capture Ellie, saw one this week still in full flower while visiting a local hospice ,i love Autumn colours, but enjoy Spring even more.Nearly every day i look at your capture "First drop of Spring" which I.M.H.O is top class.Besides Snowdrops my favorite flower is the good old English Primrose, and would love to see your lens work on some if you spot any.
EJWilkins: Graham, I think you can send yourself an "ecard" of any of my pictures. I'm not sure what happens, but I think you could print it out if you wanted to. Thank you so much for the compliment.
Won't be near any primroses etc until Spring - that's something to look forward to, isn't it, but I've uploaded one taken earlier this year here >>

I think you are right Ellie. They are so much more beautiful than the conventional sort beloved of suburban front gardens.

Drawn by the colours and then delighted by the composition and textures. Really lovely.
