photoblog image Redshanks?

Redshanks?

Taken not long after dawn.

Me and my camera were leaning against a fence post, because I didn't have my tripod with me. My camera does not have IS. Yesterday's picture will give you an idea of how far away these birds were.

I think they are Redshanks.

.....

My pictures have been queued for the half-term holiday.

beautiful. nice light and tones. like how the composition moves the eye between the arch of the water ripples to the end of the line of birds.
That's such an intimate shot. I almost feel like I'm intruding, I love it.
Fantastic shot Ellie.

Nice reflection shot Ellie. Not sure about the just after dawn bit though. I love my bed too much when I have time off. LOL
EJWilkins: I don't do the 'just after dawn' very often either, it was just that I had to be up early that day so too my camera along too. wink

I wouldn't know if their shanks are red. The one in the middle I can recognise, but only remember its afrikaans name right now.

Excellent frame.

Great shot Ellie. I really love the effect of this image. I'd love this hanging on my wall too. It captures redshankness very well indeed.

Well done.
